Re: Help with blocking Telemarketers calls

If I'm not busy or just in an ornery mood I take the calls and screw with them to see how long I can keep them on the line. The robocalls are no fun but every now and then I get someone to pick up and have some fun. If it's "the warranty company" calling about "the ford" I act el...

Re: Walden

I can't describe how sad I am to read of Walden's passing. Dale, for what it's worth, your most eloquent post really sums things up. He was a really great guy, a unique and sweet, kind soul. Whenever I think about this place I always find myself wondering about the people here and always, Walden com...

A poll about the outer space posts

I enjoy them. I told Denny I did when he was still around - however it's getting really difficult to sort through them - and it has been for a while. Do y'all think it would be a good idea to make a memorial thread for Denny like at Teh Forum? I like the idea for a few reasons. The obvious navigatio...

Re: Denny

Aw Jeez - I just logged in and read this. I can't begin to say how sorry I am to hear this most unexpected news... If anyone speaks to any of his family please pass on my deepest condolences. I almost hated clicking on Denny's links, not because they were bad but because they would often lead me int...

Re: Dave Brubeck R.I.P.

Man, what a life he must have had.

When I was a kid my mom and dad took me to see him live here in Atlanta. It was one of the last concerts the original quartet ever played because Paul Desmond died a few months later. I was probably 8 years old. I have never forgotten the experience.

WTB: Chieftan Gold

Howdy,

I'm in the market for one of those heavy-a** Chieftan Gold Low Ds or something like that and/or a Chieftan Gold B-Flat if there is such an animal. If you have one languishing in the sock drawer and would consider letting it go let me know. Thanks!

Best,
Paul

Re: This is just sick

Just a few thoughts about this. The thread kinda hit home in a way sort of. My mom got diagnosed with cancer in May. By June 23 she was gone. My sister and I have more than once since talked about the fact that this is just like she were hit by a car and taken from us. Then we ask what the hell woul...

Space question

Alright this may be a really stupid question but here goes. I have been wondering forever why it is that whenever you see a picture from the space station or one of the ones from the moon you never seem to see any stars - I never seem to anyway. It seems that the spacefield would be totally ablaze w...

It's probably a gremlin. Put it in the dishwasher and run it on the antibacterial cycle just to be sure.

Re: Help! Need cat advice

Hey again! Yep it seems to have worked. At first I put down too many mothballs and the smell just about drove me away LOL. So I cut waaaaay back on them. She is using the litterbox again. Thanks again for the help. PS Redwolf, Nano is correct. I don;t think any kitty would ever eat a mothball. Same ...
